The Lotus 79 was the first F1 car to take full advantage of ground effects aerodynamics. Many considers it the most significant and respected racing car design of all time. It was designed by Colin Chapman, Martin Ogilvie, Tony Rudd and Peter Wright of Lotus back in 1977.
