3D Papercraft Ren and Stimpy Models

After a long wait, well known papercraft designer Bazookajo has finally released a Stimpy model to accompany his Ren Hoek paper model. The Ren model was released back in 2007. The Stimpy Kadoogan papercraft model (along with several other free paper models) is available at Bazookajo's website here. The Ren and Stimpy television show was the created in the early 90's by Spumco, Inc an American animation production company. [via Ninjatoes]

Dragon Ball Z Papercraft: Saiyan Chest Armor

In one episode of the Dragon Ball Z anime, Bulma the wife of Vegeta makes Saiyan chest armor for Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks. Pictured above is a full size papercraft of that armor by Dancin_Fool at 405th.com. As explained in the series, Saiyan armor is built from a thin, elastic material that expands to fit the wearer. The template for the armor is available in Pepakura PDO format only and may be downloaded here.

UPDATE 3/19/2012: Alas, this paper model template is no longer available. :(

My Little Pony Papercraft: Soarin'

Soarin' is a male pegasus pony on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic television show. Soarin' is a member of the Wonderbolts, a squad of eleven pegasus ponies that perform aerial acrobatics. This papercraft pony is one of many by deviantARTist Kna. The template may be downloaded here. Pie is included. ;)

Animation Style Batman Papercraft

I was unable to find much information on this Batman papercraft I came across. It looks like it may have been modeled after one of the Batman animated TV series from the 1990's, but whether it was created from scratch or from a video game 3D model I can't say. The PDO file for the model says it was unfolded by "Cuguel" who may be the same person who was involved in creating the Alien xenomorph life cycle papercraft I posted a while back. The Pepakura template for this paper model is available here.

Digimon Papercraft: Marcus Damon's Digivice

The fifth series in the Digimon television franchise is Digimon Data Squad (in Japan: "Digimon Savers"). The lead character of the series, Marcus Damon (in Japan: Diamon Masaru), makes use of a device known as a Data Link Digivice (in Japan: "Digivice iC"). The device allows digimon monsters to "digivolve" into more powerful versions of themselves. This 1:1 scale paper model of Damon's digivice (my first release of 2012!) was based on a 3D model from the Digimon Masters MMORPG.  The lined and unlined PDF templates may be downloaded here.

Futurama Papercraft: Planet Express Headquarters Building

In the Futurama animated television series most of the main characters work for an intergalactic delivery service known as Planet Express, Inc. This paper model of the Planet Express headquarters building was created in 2006 by J. Muller at JM Precision Cardmodels.  Despite being released several years ago, the free papercraft template is still available for download  here (look for the link near the middle of the page). Construction of the model may be tricky for papercraft newbies as not all the parts have gluing tabs.

Danger Mouse Flying Car Papercraft

The 1980's animated British television show Danger Mouse follows the adventures of a one-eyed secret agent mouse and his trusty hamster sidekick, Penfold. This paper model by Armada Model Designs recreates the duo's flying car. In the high tech car Danger Mouse is able to travel to locations ranging from the Bermuda Triangle to outer space. The template for the car includes instructions on how to build the clear plastic windshield. [via Papermau]

Mickey Mouse Paper Toys

Back in 2009, designer Matt Hawkins created two Mickey Mouse paper toys. On the left is Mickey as he looked in his first cartoon, Steamboat Willie. On the right is the modern version of Mickey we all know and love. A download of the toys is still availabl at joeyinteractive. (look for the link labeled "Disney Paper Toys") The zip file contains both the paper models pictured above and also a papercraft stage on which to display them. Build photos above are by George Dunkley and Methuup da Funky One.

Dragon Ball Z Papercraft: Piccolo and Goku

Goku and Piccolo are two of the most popular characters in the Dragon Ball Z anime. Goku, an alien from Planet Vegeta, is the main character of the series. Piccolo, also an alien, starts out in the series as a villain, but eventually becomes fast friends with Goku and even trains Goku's son Gohan in the ways of fighting. These detailed papercraft models of the characters were created by Coturno Velho and their templates may be downloaded here. The build photo above is by Korean papercrafter Rarra.

G1 Decepticon Papercraft: Laserbeak and Ravage

In the original 80's Transformers cartoon, the Decepticon Soundwave has the alternate form of a analog cassette tape player. Soundwave is able to eject various "Spy Cassettes" which transform into animal-like Decepticons. The paper models above are two of Soundwave's Spy Cassettes, Laserbeak and Ravage. Ravage is the work of Kook at the Paper Invaders website, while the creator of Laserbeak is unknown. The templates for the models may be downloaded here and here. Both build photos above are by Cayley.

Rozen Maiden Papercraft: Chibi Souseiseki

The storyline of the Rozen Maiden anime involves living dolls who fight one another in the "Alice Game". This papercraft is a chibi version of the fourth Rozen Maiden doll, Souseiseki. Souseiseki fights with a pair of scissors and has the power to enter other's dreams. The papercraft template for Souseiseki was created by Kudan and may be downloaded here.

Stitch's Ray Gun Papercraft

The Disney character Stitch (from the 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch) appears in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep video game for PSP. Also called "Experiment 626", Stitch sometimes makes use of a ray gun. This paper model of Stitch's ray gun is based on a 3D model from KHBBS. The gun is full scale and measures about 7"(17.8 cm) in length. The two page, eight piece template for this papercraft may be downloaded here. I hope to be able to do some more Birth by Sleep papercraft in coming months, so stay tuned!

Previous KHBBS Papercraft:

Official Ben 10 Papercraft

These two items are the first official Ben 10 papercraft from Cartoon Network I have come across. The first item is a papercraft omnitrix watch which includes ten different medallions that can be attached to the face. The second item is a paper toy of Ben himself. In the show, Ben uses the omnitrix to transform into various alien creatures.

Try as I might, I could not find these papercraft models on the US version of the Cartoon Network website. They appear to only be available on the French version of the site. To get the goods, look for the download links at the bottom of the page here.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Eye Papercraft

On a whim, I took my Eye of Agamotto paper model and made some modifications to create this Millennium Eye papercraft. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, the Millennium Eye is one of seven Millennium artifacts that give their bearers special powers. Among other things, the Eye gives the bearer the ability to read another's mind and to see what their eyes see. This papercraft is actually two models: the Millennium Eye itself and a carved stone base to hold the Eye. For a smoother look, the Eye in the photo above was built without folding the pieces. The base, however, does have folds. The lined and unlined templates for this papercraft may be downloaded here.

Yu-Gi-Oh Papercraft: Marik Cubee

One of the foremost adversaries in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series, Marik Ishtar is the possessor of the Millennium Rod. According to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki, the Millennium Rod "grants the holder the power of bending wills of others through mind control and also lets its user telepathically communicate with their servants." This Marik cubee was designed by the Animepapertoys blog and may be downloaded here. The build photo is by xOxChelseaxOx at DeviantART.

TMNT Paper Toys

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began as a black and white comic book in 1984 and the rest, as they say, is history. Graphic designer Armadilloboy has created a set of lovable TMNT paper toys. Each of the four toys comes with it's own pizza (which just may inspire me to add another pizza to my own pizza paper toy series! ^^) Pictured above is Ninja Turtle Michelangelo. Templates for Mikey and his three pals may be downloaded here.

Pokemon Origami: Pikachu Head

DeviantART member Kabateru-chan did a great job transforming a simple origami bunny into a cute pikachu head by making use of yellow construction paper, black and red markers and whiteout. Folding instructions for the original origami rabbit she used are available here.

Studio Ghibli Papercraft: Laputa Robot Soldier Mask

The 1986 Studio Ghibli animated movie Castle in the Sky has some really unique looking robot soldiers. A Japanese fan created this large, helmet-like mask based on the look of the robots in the film. Although the mask in the photo was built with regular paper, building with cardstock would undoubtedly help the finished product be more sturdy and have a more definite shape. The template for the Laputa robot mask may be downloaded here. The download is in a zipped .lzh format which may be opened with 7-Zip open source software, among other things.

Pop Culture Paper Toy Tubes

Designer and animator Eduardo Souzacampus has created a delightful series of simple paper toys which he calls "Tubeland". Each of the toys is assembled by rolling a single piece of paper into a tube, then gluing it in place. Pictured above are the paper toys representing Darth Vader, Carmen Miranda, and Nintendo's Mario. A wide range of pop culture characters are available including historical figures (Da Vinci, Mozart, etc), cartoon characters (Betty Boop, Flintstones, etc), and soccer players (Pele, Ronaldo Fenomeno). One of my personal favs is the Heath Ledger Joker paper toy. All 24 of the Tubeland paper toys may be downloaded here.

Totoro Papercraft

Here is another another papercraft from the ever popular Studio Ghibli animated movie, My Neighbor Totoro. In the movie two young Japanese girls encounter three "forest spirits" known as Totoros. This papercraft is of the largest Totoro of the three. DeviantART member Studioofmm created this papercraft in 2010. A copy of the four page template for the Totoro is posted here.
