3D Papercraft Ren and Stimpy Models

After a long wait, well known papercraft designer Bazookajo has finally released a Stimpy model to accompany his Ren Hoek paper model. The Ren model was released back in 2007. The Stimpy Kadoogan papercraft model (along with several other free paper models) is available at Bazookajo's website here. The Ren and Stimpy television show was the created in the early 90's by Spumco, Inc an American animation production company. [via Ninjatoes]

Star Wars Papercraft: Aayla Secura

The character Aayla Secura appears in two of the six Star Wars movies: Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. She is a Twi'lek Jedi Master who served as a general in the Clone Wars. This paper model of Aayla is by Noturno Sukhoi.  The Pepakura PDO template may be downloaded here. The finished model stands around 9" (22.5 cm) tall.

Kratos Paper Model (God of War)

I have seen quite a few papercraft models of Kratos (the main character in the God of War video game series) but this is the first one I have come across that looks to be based on a 3D model from the game. The finished model stands around 12.6" (32 cm) tall and comes with the two axes shown (display stand not included!) The template (located here) is offered in Pepakura PDO format only and requires the free 7-Zip program to extract it after it is downloaded. The template and build photos above are by Delay.

Animation Style Batman Papercraft

I was unable to find much information on this Batman papercraft I came across. It looks like it may have been modeled after one of the Batman animated TV series from the 1990's, but whether it was created from scratch or from a video game 3D model I can't say. The PDO file for the model says it was unfolded by "Cuguel" who may be the same person who was involved in creating the Alien xenomorph life cycle papercraft I posted a while back. The Pepakura template for this paper model is available here.

Fantasy Papercraft: Lich

Destro2k at DeviantART has created an exquisitely detailed paper model of a lich. In fantasy literature a lich is an undead creature that, unlike a zombie, retains the intelligence it had as a living thing. This papercraft is based on an original 3D model by DeviantARTist FirstKeeper and not a model ripped from a video game. The Pepakura PDO files for this paper model may be downloaded here.

Harry Potter Papercraft: Harry, Hermione and Ron

These Harry Potter paper models are the creation of Noturno Sukoi. 3D models from the "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" video game were used as the basis of the papercraft figures. The models include Harry Potter himself, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. When complete, each of the models stands around 15 3/4" (40 cm) tall. As is typical with much of Noturno's work, these papercraft models are recommended for experienced papercrafters only as customization of some pieces may be required in order to get the models to fit together properly. Templates are available in both PDF and PDO format and may be downloaded here.

Life-Size S.U.N. MMORPG Papercraft

How would you like this paper model (no pun intended) standing in the corner of your room? ;) The creation of papercrafter "Moonman", this awesome full scale papercraft is based on a 3D computer model from the fantasy themed MMORPG, Soul of the Ultimate Nation (S.U.N.) The character depicted is an "Elementalist", which is a class of character described in the game as "offspring of a mage group which has compiled magic books based on the four elements of water, wind, fire and earth". The finished model stands 5'-6" (168 cm) tall with a template consisting of 58 pages. The template comes in both JPG and Pepakura PDO format and may be downloaded here.

UPDATE 10/17/2011: A version of the template sized for letter size paper is available here. The download is a single PDF file containing all 58 pages of the template. Be aware that a model built using this template will be slightly smaller than the A4 version due to the resizing required to fit to letter size paper.

Disney Princess Papercraft Roundup

Over time, the Disney Family website has added paper models of most, if not all, the Disney Princesses. Below are quick links to the templates for the Princesses. Thanks to Cayley for doing the hard work of locating them all!

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
Snow White
Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Tiana (The Princess and the Frog)
Rapunzel (Tangled)
Ariel (The Little Mermaid) - Not pictured
Mulan - Not pictured

Dragon Ball Z Papercraft: Piccolo and Goku

Goku and Piccolo are two of the most popular characters in the Dragon Ball Z anime. Goku, an alien from Planet Vegeta, is the main character of the series. Piccolo, also an alien, starts out in the series as a villain, but eventually becomes fast friends with Goku and even trains Goku's son Gohan in the ways of fighting. These detailed papercraft models of the characters were created by Coturno Velho and their templates may be downloaded here. The build photo above is by Korean papercrafter Rarra.

Rozen Maiden Papercraft: Chibi Souseiseki

The storyline of the Rozen Maiden anime involves living dolls who fight one another in the "Alice Game". This papercraft is a chibi version of the fourth Rozen Maiden doll, Souseiseki. Souseiseki fights with a pair of scissors and has the power to enter other's dreams. The papercraft template for Souseiseki was created by Kudan and may be downloaded here.

Star Wars Papercraft: Jango Fett

Jango Fett plays an important role in the Star War universe. He is the genetic father of both the Clone Troopers and the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Above are photos of an excellent papercraft model of Jango. The template for the model was created by Nightcrawler and built by Norturno Sukhoi who added creative details such as plastic rocket trails, smoke created from cotton, and lighted jetpack flames. The Pepakura PDO template for the figure only (base not included) may be downloaded at IRP. [via Paper Art]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Papercraft: Pit

I don't have much information on this papercraft of the character Pit from Nintendo's Kid Icarus series of video games. What I do know is that the template for the paper model was created by former DeviantART member Sora243 in 2008. The model may have been based on a 3D model from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl video game, although I can't say for sure. Pit is an angel from the mythical world of "Angel Land". Papercraft templates in PDF and PDO format may be downloaded here.

LOTR Papercraft: Ringwraiths (Nazgul)

Not finding enough Lord of the Rings papercraft on the Internet to suit him, Andre Correa decided to create some of his own. The result was this Ringwraith papercraft. In the LOTR trilogy, the Ringwraiths (or Nazgul) are powerful servants of the evil ruler Sauron. This paper model is based on a 3D model from the Return of the King video game and may be downloaded here.

Paper Models of Historic Soldiers

It is tough to find a quality paper model creator with the shear number of designs as Italian designer Fabrizio Prudenziati. Pictured above is a sampling of his eighty different paper models of historic soldiers available for download. Prudenziati's collection includes models of Medieval, Napoleonic, and Ancient soldiers, each at 90mm scale. And if that was not impressive enough, Prudenziati also offers downloads of excellent quality papercraft models of airplanes, architecture, ships, trains, cars, buses, and military vehicles. The Last Airbender Papercraft: Aang

Illustrator Keith Allen calls his paper model of Aang the Last Airbender a "paper sculpture". The unique thing about this particular papercraft is it built from a single piece of paper (i.e. the template has only one part). Aang, of course, is the main character in the animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. A copy of the template in .png format is posted here.

Star Wars Papercraft: Life Size Yoda

It seems more and more people are creating full scale paper models from video games. This life size papercraft of Master Yoda by Noturno Sukhoi is based on a 3D model from the Star Wars: Battlefront II video game. The character Yoda (as we all know ^^) first appeared in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The finished model stands 23.6" (60 cm) tall. The template for the model is available in Pepakura PDO format only and may be downloaded here.

Mass Effect 2 Papercraft: Tali'Zorah

Mass Effect 2 is a relatively new video game released in January 2010. It is a futuristic action role playing game set in the year 2183. This papercraft based on a 3D model from the game is of a female character whose full name is Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. Tali is a Quarian, a nomadic species of humanoid aliens. Of the two papercraft I have seen of this character (the first being here), I think this one is the better of the two due to its more relaxed, natural pose. The creator of this model is DeviantART member Xenonray (who also runs the Hyrule Papercraft blog). A free download of the template is available here.

Naruto Papercraft: Sage Mode Jiraiya

This Sage Mode Jiraiya paper model is an outstanding example of Korean papercraft. Jiraiya is a character in the Naruto animated television show which is based on a popular Japanese manga. Jiraiya is a Toad Sage, that is he has been trained by toads in the use of their secret arts. In battle, just before entering the altered state of Sage Mode, Jiraiya summons two elder toads to assist him with their abilities. The elder toads on Jiraiya's shoulders are my two favorite parts of this model. ^^ The template for this model includes the amazingly realistic rocky base shown in the photo. To download the template go here and click on the two red links just below the photo. I would give credit to this talented designer, but unfortunately I am unable to translate the Korean. :(
